Did Velociraptor hunt in packs?
There is no evidence for Velociraptor hunting in packs at present. However the dinosaur Deinonychus has been found in circumstances that hint at pack activity. About 5 skeletons of Deinonychus were found near the skeleton of the medium sized plant-eater Tenontosaurus at a site in Montana, North America. This is circumstantial evidence that a pack of these animals may have died whilst attacking and finally overcoming their prey. This is one of the main pieces of evidence that has been put forward to support the idea that these sorts of dinosaur (including Velociraptor) hunted in packs.
